OmWin — Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

The short version

OmWin collects nothing. No analytics, no account, no tracking, no third-party SDKs. Everything the app shows stays on your Mac.

What the app accesses, and why

• Accessibility permission — required by macOS so OmWin can move and resize the windows of other apps. OmWin only ever repositions the window you ask it to; it never reads window contents.
• Network — a single optional request: OmWin fetches https://omwin.stranix.net/latest.json (a small public file with the latest version number) at launch and once a day, to tell you when an update exists. The request carries no identifier and no usage data. You can turn it off in the OmWin menu (“Check automatically”). OmWin never installs anything by itself.

What OmWin never does

• No data about you or your windows leaves your Mac.
• No analytics, telemetry, crash reporters or advertising identifiers.
• It never reads what is inside your windows and never records what you type.
